Hey! My name is McKenna and I am the Founder of Arrova Coast. I left Corporate America in 2017 to travel the world, and haven’t looked back since.
After a trip to Thailand in December 2016, I came back to a new year, new me. I am quitting my job and traveling the World solo! People often ask if I was running away from something. When in fact, I wasn’t running away at all. I was running toward something.

When I started traveling I knew I wanted to eventually start something of my own. After a year and a half of globe trotting it was time to put my skills to use. With over five years of digital marketing experience at the time and a passion for helping small to medium sized businesses, marketing and web design was an obvious choice.
Most businesses are so great at their craft, but are so lost when it comes to getting their name out. My objective is to let you sit back, relax, and let me figuratively hold your hand through the process. Let’s make marketing fun and not just a necessary evil.

If we could live anywhere, where would it be?
Marianna: To have summer all year around. Spend 6 months of the year in South Africa and then travel and work remotely anywhere else.
Kirsty: That island Edward took Bella to in the Twilight series lol
Sonja: Tokyo, Japan.
Happi: Gisborne, New Zealand
Ruby: Half the year between Cape Town and the Garden Route and the other half in a new surf spot each year.
Nadhira: Moving to different states across America as it has a special place in my heart.
Wale: London, England
McKenna: 8 months in a beach town (Bali or Costa Rica) and the other 4 in Arizona!

Meet The Team!
Hi, I’m Kirsty! I’m a Business Degree graduate who fell in love with Digital Marketing, Social Media and anything to do with the online world. I am a creative mind, a new ideas fanatic, a walking planner, and a matchy-matchy aesthetics queen. I’m always curious for what’s next.
When I’m not working you can find me working on my friends’ and family’s nerves 😉 Kidding. BUT, on an average day I’m surrounded by my friends, annoying my family members, trying out new foodie spots, wine tasting, hiking (with a struggle haha), planning for the next outdoor festival, camping, and staying at our holiday home up the West Coast.
A few of my favorite hobbies include reading, tanning, gardening, Sims (yes.), and taking lots of photos! I’m obsessed with my crazy big family. I have 3 older brothers and 1 older sister making me an aunt to 8 kids. I love easy Sundays, busy Mondays, and a strong cup of coffee.
My name is Marianna Meyer and I live in Cape Town, South Africa. I am a Marketing and Communications graduate with experience working within the fashion industry too – this includes four years of Styling, Social Media Management and Content Creation, Graphic Design and Digital Marketing. Currently, I am focusing my on my role as Client and Content Manager for Arrova Coast, and running a side hustle selling thoughtfully sourced vintage clothing.
I grew up in a small coastal town on the Garden Route with my two siblings who I’m very close with. I’ve always been an ocean baby – so when I’m not working, you’ll either find me surfing, in the mountains or drinking some vino with mates (some of my best memories include all three!).
Hi, I’m Sonja. I’m a workaholic with a drive to excel. I’ve been around the block when it comes to marketing (both traditional, yes this used to be the main approach to marketing, and digital) from interning at digital agencies to being a Marketing Manager at some corporates to HOD Social Media. Coming from a marketing background I found my passion in Paid search and media and grew my knowledge base. Nothing like all that data and numbers to get your brain working. My favorite part of PPC is the strategizing and analyzing of data to find solutions. What can I say I’m a data kind of girl.
Now, who am I personally, a real indoorsy no BS introvert, I love to read and most importantly spend time with my family and friends. I have two toddlers who keep me on my toes but I love being a mum. My challenge for 2021? I’ve started my Honors Degree in Marketing this year. Nothing like a good old challenge to feel alive (and I know what you’re thinking, why not bungee jumping or skydiving to feel alive, yeah that’s the opposite of feeling alive to me, that’s just facing my fears 🙂 ). At the end of the day I am a super mum with a passion for data.
Hi, I’m Adebowale, and I am your new Website Developer. I’m a full-stack (backend-heavy) software engineer. I use JavaScript as my go to programming language to build both front and backend applications.
I have over 6 years of experience building websites and online presence for clients around the world as a freelancer. My go to tools are Node/Express for building APIs (applications programming interfaces), React/Redux as my frontend framework of choice, and of course, HTML and CSS for presentation.
I just joined Arrova Coast as a web developer where I work on anything from bug fixes, integrations, to website maintenance and management. On the side, I’m working on Sprawts – a donation platform, which I call the gofundme of Africa.
When I’m not working, I’m somewhere solving some data structure and algorithms challenges.

Hi, my name is Ruby.
I am a journalism student with an academic background in nutrition. I run a natural, oil-based perfume business on the sidelines and love the process of content creation – writing, design, and of course, I am a sucker for an easy-on-the-eyes aesthetic! I am passionate about connecting through language, both visually and in writing, making the role of client and content manager something I look forward to every day.
I am usually dressed in salt and spend most of my free time sliding up and down the South African coastline in search of its sublime waves or occasionally doing a couple of days trek over fynbos coasted mountains. My friends are my whole heart, and I don’t go a day without feeling over the moon to have them. I recharge with art projects and good music.

Hi, I’m Nadhira from Indonesia, and I’ll be your new Client + Content Manager! I currently live in Bali but am originally from Jakarta, the capital – which makes me a city girl at heart. I graduated with a Communications degree majoring in Public Relations, but my real passion is in all things digital marketing.
I would think of myself as a creative person, tinkering and trying out different elements in the graphic design department where I let my ideas flow, but I’m also a sucker when it comes to data analysis. I enjoy making reports and creating beautiful graphics that make clients go, wow!
Aside from my professional life, I like bringing friends together and playing board games with them once a week. Yes, I’m a board game nerd and no, not the Monopoly-type… I’m very into modern strategy games with lots of thinking involved. CrossFit is also something I enjoy doing 5 times a week to start my day fresh and fully energized.
